FinalDraft Article on me and my writing journey

Kelly Jo reached out to me about being interviewed for FinalDraft. I hesitated but did what I always did, said yes. You never know what happens when you do a thing.

During the interview, I mentioned some things that I already talked about in other interviews and virtual talks. Yet in this interview, Kelly really seemed to know a lot about me. Things I posted, shared, tagged and tweeted. It was the first in a long while where someone did their research and asked…The hard questions. The deep questions. The super personal questions.

I’m one to never waver, so I answered. Still, I was intrigued by how she framed things. Even encouraged and reminded me that even though I “suffered” through hard times and challenges, I persevered, and pulled through. Writers need that. We need reminders and pop-ups on our phone saying “You did good kid. You alright girl. You a star!“ We get that as kids until we graduate college, I want to say. We’re hyped on getting stars, yet as adults, excited to survive in these times.

When you get a chance and hopefully are inspired by what I’ve wrote so far about the article…take a read. https://blog.finaldraft.com/the-bricks-of-breaking-in-fbi-international-writer-kristina-thomas-on-trusting-the-process?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=blog
